Having talked about this before in another blog, we’ve come up with a few more ways to keep warm this winter without running your heater all day. There are a few extra things you can do that will help warm you up. We, of course, don’t want you to be uncomfortable just to save some money, but if you need to, we have the tips for it.
Layer Up – If you just can’t stand to turn that heater switch to on, grab a coat. By layering up in warm socks and a sweatshirt, you can warm yourself up in your home. If you are spending the night in watching tv, throw an extra layer of clothes on, a blanket, and cuddle up on the couch. This will help keep you warmer and not have to mess with the temperature of the house.
Use Your Oven – If you are in the mood for some cookies, there’s no better time to fire up the oven then when it’s cold outside. It will warm up the house and you will get a yummy treat out of it.
Turn Your Heater Off While You clean – If you must turn the heater on, it would be smart to turn it off while you are doing active activities like a home workout or cleaning. Your body will get warmed up while you are doing these activities anyway so use this time to warm yourself up a bit and turn the heater off.
These tips can help save you money here and there on cold days. If you need help with your thermostat or have a heating problem, give Andrews Auld Heating & Cooling, Inc. a call at __PHONE__.
